Hyundai is offering a new variant of its 2017 Accent to drivers who are willing to shell out a little extra cash for a lot of value – the Hyundai Accent Value Edition. With a sticker price of only $17,285, the Value Edition is only $705 more expensive than the base trim level and comes with a ton of luxurious features you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere for a similar cost. If you want to drive an opulent vehicle on a budget, now’s your chance.
Features standard to the Accent Value Edition that are available on the base model include a six-speed automatic transmission (as opposed to the SE’s manual), 16-inch aluminum wheels, steering-wheel mounted control, Bluetooth connectivity, and cruise control, adding a bit of upscale tech and stylish flair to an under-18,000 vehicle. Of course, the $15,580 Accent SE is still available if you’d like to spend as little as possible, or if you want something a little more high-end, the Accent Sport trim on the hatchback model offers athletic good looks and capable powertrain options.
The Accent Value Edition is evidence that, despite Hyundai’s reason voyages into the luxury class with its new Genesis sub-brand, the automaker still knows how to stay true to its roots. However, if the Value Edition doesn’t do it for you, the Accent is overdue for an upgrade – so keep an eye out for a redesigned next-generation model in the next few years.

At top the top of Hyundai’s lineup you’ll find something surprising—the Equus. This luxury full-size sedan offers buyers a compelling choice when compared to the competition. It comes with just as many features, an incredibly spacious interior, and all at a much more affordable price.
When you look at Hyundai’s flagship, it might seem like an odd match with the rest of the lineup, but even the least expensive Hyundai model is gaining premium features and uses well-made materials.
In the 2016 Hyundai Equus passengers will love the 126 cubic feet of interior space, more than in the Mercedes-Benz S550. The available 429-horsepower V8 engine delivers more power than the Lexus LS 460. And, with the Concierge Service, you’ll save time with personal services, like a “Your Time, Your Place” test drive.
With the Equus Ultimate, standard features include a hands-free smart trunk with auto open, a forward-view cornering camera, a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, a Heads-up Display, a rear-seat entertainment system with dual 9.2-inch monitors, and power lumbar on rear outboard seats.
What do you think about the 2016 Hyundai Equus? Do you think it is a good flagship for the Hyundai brand?
Hyundai’s new Elantra Sport has been spied in South Korea, and we at Joe Holland Hyundai love the new look! We were not expecting to see the vehicle until the 2016 SEMA Show this October, so the sneak peak is quite exciting!
The Elantra Sport is aimed at the performance enthusiast, and it has unique styling on the front and rear which create significant body changes. From the pictures, it appears to have a newly designed bumper and ride on a lower chassis. In addition, there are extended chrome trims and a diffuser housing a dual pipe setup.
There has not been a high performance compact model, so the Elantra Sport will definitely be a unique vehicle. The powertrain has not yet been debuted, but it might be Hyundai’s 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. It may also have an optional six-speed manual, similar to the Veloster Turbo.
We may have to wait a bit longer for actual details of the new Elantra Sport, but for pictures of the spied vehicle, click here.
Hyundai Motor Group has partnered with Cisco to create new ideas and get closer to creating a successful connected car. They are currently working on a roadmap for connected car development in hopes of creating a “hyper-connected and intelligent car.”
Many automakers and technology companies are working on the creation of connected cars. Autonomous driving is also a big deal, as developments are just now becoming solid enough to test.
However, fully autonomous vehicles may be a bit further in the future, so for the present, Hyundai is working on car connectivity. This connectivity should be between driver’s smartphones and their vehicles. The company hopes to develop technology such as smart remote maintenance services and smart traffic controls.
The overall goal is to provide drivers with an increased hub of knowledge to enhance the driving experience while decreasing the chances of vehicle maintenance failure and accidents.
Creating a computer on wheels is one of the last technology frontiers to living a fully connected life. By creating a connected car roadmap, Hyundai is placing connected mobility at the center of customers’ lives.

It’s not hard to see why this spot quickly became so popular. First of all, the commercial is shot just as well as any box-office thriller. We see two young hikers desperately running through the forest. The camera cuts between one hiker, who has tripped over some brush, to the bears chasing them. These hikers have pissed off some seriously big and angry bears!
What the bear doesn’t know is that one of the hikers holds a trump card. It’s a smart watch! He speaks to the one of the apps, “Start my car!” and we see his 2017 Hyundai Elantra light up with life!
Remote Start is just one of the awesome technologies that Hyundai has developed. It’s great for warming or cooling your car in extreme weather (and getting away from bears).

Football season is almost over, and you know what that means: It’s about time to start obsessing over Super Bowl commercials. Hyundai recently revealed some key elements about their upcoming advertisements, which look seriously promising.
For one thing, they’ve got seriously big names attached to direct the ads, including Peter Berg – director of “Lone Survivor” and “Collateral.” Why such a gritty filmmaker, Hyundai? We will have to see.
We also know that the ads will prominently display the luxurious Genesis model as well as the 2017 Elantra, which is particularly exciting. The Elantra hasn’t been seen by a lot of folks, but that’s sure to change after the Super Bowl.
Whether or not any of these Hyundai ads will become “that Super Bowl ad” that everyone talks about for weeks after the big game, we will have to wait and see.
In the meantime, while we wait for the Hyundai Super Bowl commercials, come make predictions here with us at Joe Holland Hyundai!
Are you looking forward to 2016? The folks at Hyundai surely are – as they are about to announce their bar-raising new model, the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq: a hybrid sedan that will offer customers the choice of three different powertrains in one body style.
This makes Hyundai the first automaker ever to offer such an option, which reflects their planned tone for the near future, according to a Hyundai representative, who said that Hyundai’s “vision for future mobility focuses on choice.”
More details about the Hyundai Ioniq, such as its actual fuel economy data or pricing, are yet to be announced. But surely, if the Ioniq is scheduled to get its world debut so soon, more information has to be on the way.
The big debut will occur in January, and until then, this 2017 Hyundai Ioniq photo teaser will have to hold us over. Until then, if you’re interested in any current Hyundai models, visit us anytime at Joe Holland Hyundai.
